How many people are on your small group tour?

We use 15-passenger Mercedes Sprinter and Ford Transit high-top vans to tour our small groups while limiting the number of guests to 10 people to accommodate a comfortable experience while on your tour.

When is the best time to travel to Utah?
Every season in Utah has its benefits! Spring time is the most popular time to visit as the weather is at it’s peak. Fall and Winter are also beautiful in Utah as the weather is cool, parks are less crowded, & hotel rates are lower. The summer months are great for water activities when the rivers are at their peaks to escape the heat.

June through September is ideal to visit Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park. Be aware that 30% of all Yellowstone visitors come to visit in the month of July. It is paramount that you book your Yellowstone lodging as far in advance as possible if you wish to stay inside the park.

What kind of vehicles will we be transported in?

All of our tours operate in large SUVs or 15 passenger vans depending on the group size. We are not a motorcoach company.

What type of clothing should I wear?
Layers! Light-weight layers made of technical fabrics are best. Pants that convert into shorts also work well in the desert. Brimmed hat and sunglasses will add additional protection from the sun. We send out a detailed packing list to all travelers 30-days before your tour departs.
What type of footwear should I bring?
We suggest light-weight, breathable, flexible hiking boot with ankle support. Additionally, you will want to add several pairs of socks, designed for desert hiking; breathable, wicking, technical fabrics work best.
What type of luggage should I bring?
We recommend a soft-sided, light-weight suitcase, convertible duffle, or backpack. Also, consider bringing a camera bag, small day pack, or fanny pack as well.
How many miles do we hike per day?
We walk approximately 3 miles per day, not necessarily consecutively. There are elevation changes and there is uneven ground on some of the trails.
Do we have to hike with the group?
No, hiking with the group is not mandatory.
Can we do longer hikes if we wanted to?
Yes, just speak with your guide and they can make recommendations. They may not be able to accompany you but they can advise you where/when to hike if you want further.
How much time do we spend in each National Park?
You will spend a minimum of 2-3 hours in each park, on average 3-4 hours.
Does Utah Luxury Tours have any age restrictions?
We do not have any age restrictions for our tours, however, we ask that parents know their children’s hiking abilities. If children are able to hike and keep up with the group they are welcome on our tour.
