The Itinerary: How You’ll Spend the Five Days
Be prepared for a high-energy trip with plenty to explore and many new experiences.
Day 1: From Las Vegas to Peach Springs
You arrive at the Las Vegas airport at or before the designated time. Here, you’ll meet your guide who will be with you throughout the trip. You’ll also meet your fellow travellers, who you’ll get to know as the trip progresses.
We will make our way through Las Vegas and get on the iconic Route 66, travelling through the desert landscape. By the end of the day, we’ll reach Peach Springs and stay overnight in the area while preparing for the hike ahead.
Day 2: Descending into Havasu Canyon
We will rise early and then head for a scenic drive to Hualapai Hilltop. This is the official head of the trail. From here, we will begin our 10-mile descent into the canyon. The trail has been created between dramatic sandstone walls, which seem quite otherworldly compared to our usual urban landscape.
We will reach Supai Village, which is the capital of the Havasupai Indian Reservation.
We will pass through Supai Village and reach the iconic Havasu Falls, which is one of the highlights of the trip.
Next, we will push on till we reach our peaceful campsite set along the rushing turquoise waters of Havasu Creek.
Day 3: The Spectacular Mooney & Beaver Falls
We will start by exploring Mooney Falls, which is a towering, dramatic cascade that can only be reached via a famous and thrilling descent down a series of rock carvings and ladders. From there, we will hike another 6 miles round-trip to the terraced pools of Beaver Falls. The day is ours to swim, relax, and photograph some of the most beautiful natural river terraces on Earth.
Day 4: Serenity at Navajo Falls & Starry Nights
After two days of heavy hiking, Day 4 is dedicated to relaxation and deep immersion. We will visit the beautiful, wide cascades of Navajo Falls, spend extra time unwinding by Havasu Falls, and enjoy some quiet downtime in the canyon. As darkness falls, we will experience our final night camping under a dazzling canopy of stars, far removed from modern light pollution.
Day 5: The Ascent & Return to Las Vegas
We will break camp early to beat the heat and conquer the 10-mile hike back up to Hualapai Hilltop. At the rim, our vehicle will be waiting to transport us back to Las Vegas for our late afternoon or evening flight home.
