Did 2020 cause you to have to cancel your summer plans? Or do you just want to experience a few national parks as you never have before? If so, this unique tour is for you.
Our Winter in Wyoming tour is a private 5-day, fully-escorted adventure to some of the state’s most incredible outdoor destinations, as well as some of the most photographed spots in the country.
Besides seeing some of Wyoming’s beautiful landscapes covered in snow, you’ll also have the chance to sample a few popular winter pastimes during your trip. From snowshoeing to skiing to dog sledding, this trip combines sightseeing and wildlife spotting with some heart-pounding excitement in the snow.
What to Expect on Your Trip
Your tour begins when your guide picks you up in a luxury vehicle for your transfer from Jackson Airport. After a relaxing evening getting to know your guide and the other guests, you’ll start the first of 5 full days of adventure with a visit to Grand Teton National Park. Take in the park’s stunning peaks on a snowshoe adventure, and ascend more than 10,000 feet to the summit of Rendezvous Peak on the Jackson Hole Aerial Tram.
You’ll stay close to the Rocky Mountains on Day 2. But rather than snowshoeing, you’ll be hitting the slopes for a full day of skiing!
After a long day of skiing, on Day 3 you’ll have a chance to get off of your feet as you explore Yellowstone National Park. On a specially designed snow coach, you’ll cruise the snow-covered back roads and trails of the park, all while staying warm and cozy.
Day 4 brings even more off-road adventure, this time on snowmobiles. You’ll explore some of Yellowstone’s unique landmarks and historic sites, including Old Faithful, bubbling mud pots, and West Thumb, a boiling volcanic caldera located within Yellowstone Lake.
On your last full day, you’ll start by transferring back to Jackson via a snow coach. Once there, enjoy a horse-drawn sleigh ride through the National Elk Refuge, where you’ll have a chance to experience wildlife up-close and maybe capture a few stunning photos of your own. Feeling a bit more adventurous? You can also race through the frozen countryside on a sled pulled by a team of Alaskan Huskies! You’ll spend your final night in Jackson before transferring back to the airport for your flight home.
What’s Included?
The Winter in Wyoming Tour includes most of the expenses you’ll incur during your 5-day, 6-night adventure. This includes all lodging and ground transportation, including transfers to and from the airport. You’ll receive breakfasts and lunches each full day, as well as snacks and refreshments. Your professional guide and his or her lodging is also included in your tour fee.
On this unique trip, all activities are paid for by your tour fee, including a full day of skiing, a snow coach ride, a snowmobile tour, and a dog sled or sleigh ride adventure. Entrance fees for both Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park are also included.
