As our name suggests, Utah Luxury Tours began with the goal of providing luxury group tours and private excursions throughout beautiful Utah. But while we continue to offer a variety of Utah travel packages to explore the Mighty 5, as well as a number of state parks and national monuments across the state, we also offer tours to some of the country’s other incredible parks and outdoor destinations.

One unique option is our Black Hills & Mt. Rushmore Private Tour. Whether you have a history enthusiast in your group or want to see some beautiful outdoor destinations that are sometimes overlooked, this tour is a great choice. As a private tour, this can be fully customized to fit your group’s interests and needs.

The Details

Before we move on to the incredible sights that you’ll get to see and activities you’ll enjoy during our Black Hills & Mt. Rushmore Tours, let’s talk details. This six-night, seven-day tour begins with a pickup at the Rapid City Regional Airport, located in Rapid City, South Dakota. This airport is the closest one to Black Hills and Mt. Rushmore.

This private tour can accommodate up to eight guests. The tour costs start at $8,500 for double occupancy accommodations. The tour fee includes most of the costs of your adventure, including everything from luxury lodging to breakfast and lunches, snacks, transportation during your tour, airport transfers, and all national park, state park, and attraction entrance fees.

Before your trip, you’ll get a designated tour planner who will help you plan out your activities and adventures ahead of time. During the tour, you’ll have a professional private guide along every step of the way. Our tour guides at Utah Luxury Tours are known for not only their friendly faces but also their in-depth knowledge of the destinations that you’re exploring. Whether you want a hiking recommendation, the history of the park you’re visiting, or a tip for a great restaurant for dinner, simply ask your guide.

Not included in your tour fee are your airfare, dinners, and gratuities.

Black Hills & Mt. Rushmore Tours

This tour kicks off when guests are picked up at the Rapid City Regional Airport. You’ll immediately travel one hour to the Wild West Town of Deadwood. Once a town full of gunslingers and outlaws, today it’s known for its rich history. Meet your tour guide, talk about what to expect in the coming days, and enjoy dinner before turning in for the night.

Day Two

The first full day of your tour begins with a visit to Devil’s Tour. This incredible geologic formation appears almost other-worldly as it rises sharply out of the surrounding prairies. See the nearby sinkhole that was once used to trap bison, and take a scenic drive through Spearfish Canyon.

Day Three

Day three continues your tour of Deadwood. Because the entire town is a National Historic Landmark, there’s a lot to see! Walk the old cemeteries full of outlaws. Tour historic homes and learn the history of the town through museums. There are also several hikes that can take you above the town. As on any of our private luxury group tours, your tour guide will work with you to plan out the perfect day for your group!

Day Four

One day four, you’ll make your way to Badlands National Park. Known for its rugged beauty, don’t let the name trick you into thinking that there’s nothing to see. The park was once home to horses and rhinos and is now home to some of the richest fossil beds in the world. While it might look lifeless from a distance, today the park is home to a variety of wildlife, including prairie dogs, bighorn sheep, and bison.

Day Five

Day five is another day full of some incredible sightseeing. You’ll make your way to the Black Hills Mammoth Site. Tour an active dig site where you can see real Ice Age fossils. The next stop is Wind Cave National Park, the sixth-longest cave system in the world. Before heading back to Deadwood, you’ll visit Custer State Park, which covers more than 71,000 acres of the Black Hills. Here, you can enjoy hiking, swimming, biking, fishing, and more.

Day Six

If you have a history buff in your group, they’ll no doubt be eager for day six of your tour. This is when the Mt. Rushmore tours take place. See Mt. Rushmore and explore the museum located at the site. Then, visit Crazy Horse Memorial, a monument dedicated to the Native Americans that once populated the entire region.

Day Seven

Depending on when your group’s flights depart, you may have time to explore Bear Country, USA, a drive-through wildlife park with elk, bears, mountain lions, and more.
